What's Involved

We're looking for new volunteers!

Our volunteers get involved in variety of tasks depending on their skills and interests - we'd love to hear from you.

We ask that you commit to at least 4 hours per week (one shift). Tasks include sorting, steaming and pricing of clothes, along with shop duties such as shop merchandising and displays, customer service and till operation. Full training is given in all areas and no experience is necessary.

Some volunteers concentrate on one area such as sorting and steaming and only work in the store room while others are more focused on organising displays or customer service. We aim to facilitate you in your area of interest. For example we have volunteers who predominantly focus on one section of the shop according to their interests e.g. books, accessories, bric-a-brac, music/dvd or electrical sections. Whether you want to gain general retail experience, increase your confidence in customer service or indulge your interest in books or bric-a-brac, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteering with us is a great way to acquire new skills and meet new friends while really making a difference. All we ask for is your time. What's required for this position

We require commitment to the role and being a team player is also important. All other skills needed can be acquired on the job!
