About MCR Community Centre
MCR Community Centre is based on the Mail Coach Road and runs a playschool, afterschool club, summer camps and local active age club. It also has a sports hall and a meeting room which are available for hire and a playground which is open to the local community.
What's Involved
We run an Afterschool Service in the MCR Community Centre from Monday to Fridays 1:15-5:15pm during the school year.
Under direction and guidance from the Childcare Services Manager the volunteer will participate in all activities, ensuring the children's health, safety and welfare at all times. We provide a walking school bus which collects the children from school, we supervise their homework, provide a warm meal each day and a number of arts, crafts and sporting activities which the leaders co-ordinate and participate in.
We would love to hear from anyone who can volunteer at least one afternoon a week or fortnight.
