Cheshire Ireland provides a range of support services to people with both physical and neurological conditions in their homes, in residential centres, in supported accommodation and in stand alone respite facilities. We provide our services to people often with very complex and high support needs. Our aim is to provide quality, person-centred services, which facilitate people with disabilities to live a life of their own choosing. We are currently the biggest provider of supported accommodation in the country.

What's Involved

The volunteer will work with a female adult service participant who would really like to improve her literacy in both reading and writing. Just one hour a week, open to any day but Sunday after 11am. This service user is in her 50s so this role may be best suited to someone of a similar age group.

What's required for this position

Preferably training in Adult Basic Literacy Tutoring. Experience would be great but not essential.
